04. Production guidelines
Area of cistern 2 sq. meter.
Water depth 70 to 80 cm.
Stocking Weight - 15 g, Density @ 40 fish/sq. meter.
Feeding Artificial diet prepared with made of Fish meal 2%,
Flour 4.5%, Blood meal 22.5%, Vitamin 0.5%,
Sesame oiJcake 23%, Salt 1%, Rice bran 43.5%,
Soyabean oil I%, Oyster shell 2% is given @ 5%
body weight offish twice daily.
Cleaning and water change a. Unused feed and fish faces should be removed.
b. Water is changed weekly.
Harvesting After three months culture period. By this
time fish reach marketable size 130 to 175 g.
Production @ 4.5 to 5.0 kg/sq. meter.
