Procedure
A. Epizootic Ulcerative Syndrome Teramycin 40-50 mg/kg of fish, Application of lime
@ 1 kg/dec is effective to improve water quality.
Apply 2-3 ppm potassium permanganate to pond
water.
B. Fungal disease Bath in 1-1.5 ppm methylin blue solution for 24
hours, bath in 1-1.5 ppm malachite green for 1 hour.
C. Fish parasitic disease a. Bathing in 25-35 ppm formaline solution for 12-24

mg/kg body weight of fish for 7 days.
E. Nutritional disease Regular supply of balanced diet with necessary
protein requirement is essential.
05. Prevention Regular water quality monitoring is the prerequisite
for water quality management.
06. Risk involvement and Proper diagnosis of disease is essential to provide
management in adopting the treatment in time.

07. Impact of environment Excess use of drugs has the residual effect on aquatic
environment.
08. Procedure of transfer Training/massive extension work.
09. Expected outcome Increase fish production.
10. Recommendations a. Water quality needs to be maintained to avoid
disease occurrence.
b. Facilities for proper diagnosis of fish disease are
essential.
c. Chemicals/drugs should be used carefully.
