1.7 1.7 Behavioural couples therapy for depression Behavioural couples therapy for depression

1.7.1 Consider behavioural couples therapy for people with either less severe or more
severe depression who have problems in the relationship with their partner if:

• the relationship problem(s) could be contributing to their depression, or or

• involving their partner may help in the treatment of their depression. [2022] [2022]

1.7.2 Deliver behavioural couples therapy for people with depression that:

• follows the behavioural principles for couples therapy

• provides 15 to 20 sessions over 5 to 6 months. [2009] [2009]
