During the period 2009-2010, BANSDOC has provided 1,747 bibliographical references
among the 15 scientists/researchers. Though government earned very little revenue income
Tk.1,012 in exchange this service, really it is not evaluated in terms of money. The importance of
this service is enormous in the field of research and development activities in the country.

(c) Reprographic Service

Users on request may avail
themselves of the reprographic
services like: scientific photography,
slide making, photocopying,
laminating and spiral binding trough
paying minimum charges. During
the period 2009-10 BANSDOC
has provided 27,994 pages

photocopies, 280 photography, 23 laminating and 80 spiral binding.

(d) BANSDOC Library

BANSDOC Library is the specialized
science library. For a long time it is popular to
the scientists and researchers as a referral library.
It has been functioning as a supplementary library of
scientific and technological reading materials used by
the scientists, technologists, academicians,
entrepreneurs, students and research guides in the
country. The Library has a Books and Journals
Selection Committee approved by the Government.
In every year library holding has been increasing by
purchasing new books and periodicals according to
the guidance of that committee.

BANSDOC Library avoids to purchase
the duplicate books and periodicals which is
available in other libraries in the country. No
membership is needed to use the BANSDOC
Library. It is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm for
all categories of users except weekend and other
govt. holidays. The library provides reader
service only. There is no issue system of library
holdings. There are two study carrels with proper
decoration and modern facilities for veteran
academicians and scientists to carry out study
comfortably for their research and development
activities. The Library is organized in three
sections such as: Book Section, Journal Section
and Reference Section. Presently it holds about
450 titles of periodicals and 20,000 titles of
books in the field of science and technology.
