BANSDOC has been bringing out a
number of important publications on

different topics of interest to the scientists,
technologists, academicians, entrepreneurs,

planners, policy-makers and decision-makers
at the highest level. The publications are:

• Directory of Scientists and Technologists of Bangladesh;
• Bangladesh Science and Technology Abstracts;
• Current Scientific and Technological Research Projects of Bangladesh;
• National Catalogue of Scientific and Technological Periodicals of Bangladesh;

• Directory of Scientists and Technologists of Bangladesh Living Abroad;
• Survey of Research and Development (R&D) Activities in Bangladesh and

• Directory of Bangladesh R&D Organizations and Their Current Scientific and
Technological Research Projects.

The following publications has been published during the period 2009-2010:

(i) Bangladesh Science and Technology Abstracts;
(ii) BANSDOC Annual Report.

Cooperative Programmes of Activities with International Organizations

BANSDOC has been maintaining cooperative programmes of activities with a number of
leading regional and international library/information/documentation centres over the world.

These are mentioned below in brief:

(a) National Library of Australia (NLA)

At present BANSDOC can meets up only 10% of total requests of its users for document

procured from domestic available resources and 90% of total request are met with procuring from
external resources. BANSDOC can meets up about 60% of the total requests of its users for
documents procured from NLA on payment in the form of UNESCO Dollar Coupons. Usually the
photocopy of a document up to 30 pages costs Australian $12.00 only.
