                                         measurement of parallax and proper mo-
                                         tions. Herr Pulfrich, of the firm of Carl
                                         Zeiss, has vastly extended the applications
                                         of stereoscopic vision to astronomy–a sub-
                                         ject which De la Rue took up in the early
                                         days of photography. He has made a stereo-
