In your X-Lite softphone client, close the Settings windows by clicking the BACK button
until the windows are all closed. You should see X-Lite try to register to Asterisk, and
if successful, you will see the following at the Asterisk CLI:
-- Registered SIP '1000' at 192.168.1.250 port 5061 expires 3600
You can verify the registration status at any time like so:

*CLI> sip show peers
