Bangladesh National Scientific and Technical Documentation Centre
(BANSDOC) is the apex body of collecting, processing and disseminating scientific
and technological information of the country. As a part of this endeavor BANSDOC
has been publishing series of different publication on S&T information of the country
to fulfill the needs of scientific community as well as entrepreneurs, planners and
policy makers.

BANSDOC has been publishing an abstracting journal entitled “Bangladesh
Science and Technology Abstracts” since 1991 under its Bibliographic and Abstracting
Service. Bangladesh Science and Technology Abstracts is a secondary journal, which
serves as a secondary information service to give support to research and development
activities of the country. The abstracts of research articles published in different
Bangladeshi scientific and technological journals in the recent past have been compiled
in this Volume No 29. I hope this publication will be of use and interest to the
researchers of the country.

I like to take this opportunity to thank all the authorities who cooperated with
BANSDOC by providing information incorporated in this volume. I apologize for any
omission or error in abstracting and printing. Any suggestion for improving of this
publication will be highly appreciated.
